RED YEAST RICE WITH CoQ10
Red Yeast Rice is a fermented rice product that has been used for centuries in China as a food, tonic and coloring agent. It provides the red coloring in various food preparations including pastries, pickled tofu, red rice vinegar, Peking Duck and various wines from China, Korea and Japan. Its use has been documented in traditional Chinese medicine and herbology as far back as the Tang Dynasty in China. Red Yeast Rice may lower the amount of Coenzyme Q10 in the body”. CoQ10 is very important in heart and muscle health and in energy production. Not having enough CoQ10 can cause fatigue, muscle aches and pains, and muscle damage.
In 1997 an American company, Sylvan Bio, Inc., began investigating the health supporting properties of Red Yeast Rice. It has been determined in several well documented clinical trials that Red Yeast Rice (RYR) is effective in maintaining healthy LDL cholesterol*. Sylvan’s RYR is well tolerated, which is good news for those with high LDL cholesterol, and those who wish to maintain healthy lipid levels with natural products.
U.S. MANUFACTURER WITH MODERN PRODUCTION METHODS
Sylvan Bio has been the sole manufacturer of USDA organic Red Yeast Rice (RYR) in the U.S. for over a decade. Sylvan utilizes modern American aseptic manufacturing processes, which vigorously test for and prevent unwanted pathogens, heavy metals and other contaminants. This cannot always be said of imported Red Yeast Rice.
SAFE & EFFECTIVE
Red Yeast Rice tends not to produce harmful side effects such as joint and muscle pain. Each Sylvan RYR batch is rigorously tested and contains non-detectable levels (less than 1 part per million) of citrinin, a nephrotoxin.
