A. Citrinin is a mycotoxin commonly found in stored grains and grain-based products. While no exposure limits have been established, Sylvan ensures that its products meet a standard of less than 1ppm, which is at, or below, the level of detection for most assays.
Q. How many capsules of Sylvan’s Red Yeast Rice should I take per day?
A. As a dietary supplement for adults, take two (2) capsules with water at mealtime or as directed by a licensed healthcare practitioner. You may take up to four (4) capsules daily (morning and evening) for maximum benefits. Do not exceed four (4) capsules in a 24-hour period.

Should not be taken in combination with grapefruit products. This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Immediately discontinue use if you experience any unexplained muscle pain or tenderness, especially if accompanied by flu-like symptoms. Do not take if you consume more than two (2) drinks of alcohol per day. Do not take if allergic to soy or rice products.
